I created this piece for a spring themed art contest on Instagram. I wanted to feature a rose in bloom in my drawing, and although I thought about drawing a woman with flowers in her hair, I wanted to do something a little different. Ultimately, I decided to go with putting the woman in the flower. The dress featured in the piece is from the Marchesa Spring 2014 Ready to Wear Collection.
