Every first Monday in May, I have a standing commitment to obsess over all the glamorous and sometimes over-the-top looks from the Met Gala red carpet. And without fail, I always find it impossible to select just one favorite red carpet look.
This year, I opted to draw Kendall Jenner, who looked stunning in Versace. Full disclosure, this is the second year in a row that I’ve drawn Kendall’s Met Gala look. But there was something so effortlessly sleek and glam about her look, so I couldn’t resist drawing her.

The look at Diane Von Furstenberg’s Fall 2016 presentation was all about red manicures, smokey eyes, and 70’s inspired party frocks. Modeling a black and white slip dress and a slinky jumpsuit, Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner embodied that quintessential disco party glam feel that no one does better than DVF.

There were so many show stopping looks at this years Met Gala. Honestly, I would love to spend the next week drawing all my favorite Red carpet looks. I opted to draw Kendall Jenner’s stunning Calvin Klein jade green gown. Although the dress is intricately embellished, it still has a sleek minimalist silhouette that Calvin Klein is known for.
