A few days ago, I came across a backstage picture from the Moschino Fall 2012 show in my Instagram feed. The fun yet glam feel of the show inspired me to create this quick illustration. Moschino’s Fall 2012 collection had a decidedly mod feel, so I created a background with elements that are quintessentially mod: bright color and bold pattern.
Fun and girly, the Barbie inspired Moschino collection had all the elements any self-respecting Barbie lover would expect. All the looks were bright and playful, and the pink accessories were definitely covet worthy. I chose to illustrate the look with the roller skates, shorts, and bra top, because I would have loved to have a Barbie on roller skates when I was a kid. Truth be told, the Barbie I want the most right now is the Karl Lagerfeld Barbie
