Come Away With Me: Valentino Spring 2015

Current Cravings

Recently, Draw A Dot. and Valentino held an open call on Instagram for illustrations featuring the Mime bag. This is my submission for the open call. My illustration was not selected as a finalist, but I had so much fun creating this piece. Plus, it was fascinating to see how other illustrators approached creating a piece featuring the Mime bag. All of the amazing pieces created for the open call can be found here.

For my piece, I wanted to convey a sense of movement. My goal was to make viewers feel as if these ladies are going on an adventure.

Lighter than Air: Roberto Cavalli Spring 2015

Current Cravings

The light, airy and romantic white cotton lace looks from Roberto Cavalli’s Spring 2015 show were simply amazing. The incredible embroidered details lend a sense of whimsy to this outfit, so I decided to give the subject in the drawing a hair color to match feel of the look—playful and romantic pink. Plus, I can’t get enough of the pastel hair color looks that are so hot right now!

Unapologetically Feminine: Giambattista Valli Couture Spring 2015

Current Cravings

The backstage photos of the models in the Giambattista Valli Spring 2015 Couture Show were so fun and gorgeous, so I created this drawing inspired by the photos. I adore the veils with bows and polka dots, because they are unapologetically feminine and playful.
