As promised, here is another red carpet drawing that has been sitting on my iPad.
I’ve noticed that there are two people who I seem to draw almost every red carpet season. One is Regina King and the other is Zendaya. Honestly, both women rarely disappoint when they hit the red carpet.
Zendaya’s Oscars red carpet look was inspired by Cher. She wore this stunning custom yellow Valentino dress paired with Bulgari jewelry. Beachy boho waves added an ethereal vibe to this swoon worthy look.
New project alert!!! I’m creating an illustrated biannual magazine and I’m sharing the process of creating each issue on Patreon. Want more details? Visit patreon.com/SublimeCravings for more info.
There were so many divine looks on the Golden Globes red carpet this year, so I had to draw another one (you can see the first one, featuring Lily Collins, here). Emma Stone looked amazing in this Valentino pale pink gown adorned with stars.
Below is my first attempt at creating an animated piece. I’ve been wanting to play with animation, and the celestial vibe of this gown inspired me to give it a try.

Pursuing your passion and taking on the world (aka being a Passionista) can leave you feeling battered and insecure. That’s why it’s so important to stay centered and grounded. When I’m exhausted and feel that my goals are out of reach, I know it’s time to take a step back, meditate, and do things that energize me. When I recharge, I feel like I can take on anything. Once again I am determined, authentic, and capable.
The Passionista in the illustration is wearing a look from Valentino’s gorgeous Resort 2016 collection.

Recently, Draw A Dot. and Valentino held an open call on Instagram for illustrations featuring the Mime bag. This is my submission for the open call. My illustration was not selected as a finalist, but I had so much fun creating this piece. Plus, it was fascinating to see how other illustrators approached creating a piece featuring the Mime bag. All of the amazing pieces created for the open call can be found here.
For my piece, I wanted to convey a sense of movement. My goal was to make viewers feel as if these ladies are going on an adventure.
